TGIF! It's Movie Night!

Rest and relax! After a long week for the children in school & a hectic work schedule for hubby at work, this is what we usually do to wind down on every Friday evening.  For us, Friday is where our weekend begins.

Curl up & get cosy infront of the telly, with variety spread of food and a good movie to watch.
It's, entertain the soul, feast the eyes and feed the stomach! Oh...yeh!

My hubby is a movie disc hoarder. He can retire with his huge collection and opens up a rental shop. A'int no kidding Ok! With our weekly movie night going on, his collection is sprawling and growing. Bearing in mind, this is not his one and only hobby! Well, that makes us a great couple, cos me also a collector of most things lol! But please don't get us wrong, we don't live in a garbage lol! The house is still spick and span.

Having few days cracking mind what to prepare for our usual daily 3 dish-1-soup meal,  comes Friday is Easy Peasy! They opt for no rice dish tho! So, burger, pizza, sushi are some in the list i prepare. Along with it, will be dessert, cakes & pastries in buffet setting.

Join us, its pizza for us tonight. Enjoy the spread, enjoy the movie...






Incase you are wondering, with these amount of food we eat, we are not obese. This family can really eats! There are more but me got to go before the food is gone! Till my next post, have a happy long weekend!

May somebody help me please?

Have been cracking my head how to solve these problems over my blog recently but to no avail.  Per se, I'm a codes illiterate!
I have readers whom can't leave their comments with their log-in name, resulting the inconvenience of them typing their name after commenting.
update: so far it works after i switched back to "pop up window" setting for comment. Shall ask those who previously have problem leaving message here to try again to rectify the problem.

Next, this is the frustrating part! I also have problems uploading photos. Previously, i can upload a few at a go, but not anymore now. I can only upload one at a time, saved the post and edit to add another photo. It's snail slow! At times, the system will hang and i can't even upload any :(
Initially i thought problem could due to my lappy system, however hubby has already reformat it for me and this bloggy issues are still there.
update:  pics i uploaded to this blog was saved in my Picasa Album. i found out that i am currently using 1014MB (99%) of my 1024MB allowed. Could this be the problem why i cant upload?  Please share with me how do you usually upload your pics.  Direct? Through Photobucket using link? etc

Am clueless how to get this fixed! Can someone enlighten me what and where actually went wrong? My HTML codes? My template? Please help me chase the bugs away! Please help...

Small Small Baker: Sorry I can't help you cos I don't have these problems. As for photos, did u add using "edit HTML" or "compose" mode? I prefer using "edit HTML". Less problem for me. Maybe can try if it will solve the problem?
Thanks SSB. I have been using "compose" mode for drafting for quite some time. No problem until months ago when everyone has problem with the commenting issue. I tried by setting it back to "edit HTML", still problem persists when i want to upload pic. It just hang without processing the uploading.

Sheerleen: i not sure this can help or not...but at other bloggers there i saw this setting has resolved their problem from unable to post the blog
Can you check the Blog Settings menu -> Select post editor = Old Editor?
If your setting is not Old Editor, change it to Old Editor and try to upload the photos again...
let me know if this able to resolve your problem ya...

Jet: Hi Hearty Bakes, I am having the same trouble too! I can't seem to leave comments to most blogs...but suprisingly I can comment on yours!! o.O
Hopefully someone out there can help us or it'll get fix sooner or later. =p

Jet: Ohh...I think by setting the comment form placement as "pop-up window" works....it works for me. I can comment on my own blog and your blog because of that. Manage to fix it thanks to you. =D
Jet, thanks for highlighting to me. i shall ask those who previously can't leave message to try again if it works since i have changed to "pop up window".

The experimental cook: I had pics upload before but is resolved after changing to compose mode.
Picassa has a quota so you might try creating an account at deviantart or the like. If this persists, you can either seek out help from technical forums or blogspot itself. Give a detailed writeup and screen capture if any and see if they can advise. The last unlikely cause would be a virus. Good luck.

Thanks experimental cook! Yes, the least i expect would be virus. I presumed its my picasa running out of space. Will have to work on it and trace out  the problem.

Bread Fever & New Toys

I'm sting by the busy bees! My obsession of dough playing continues as my bread fever catches on.
Bread is a staple food in my household.  I am making bread almost on a daily basis.
I find it addictive yet therapeutic! Making emulsifer-free bread at home is not difficult task after all.
Have you seen these bread?  Commonly seen, as good as the old-school sugar donuts one find it in our neighbourhood & nostalgic bakery. My kiddos decorated the bread effortlessly in the count of 123!

Mock Bees Sting Bread

Ingredient for bread dough A:
250g High Protein Flour
1/2 tsp salt 1 tbsp milk powder
40g icing sugar

Ingredient for bread dough B:
90ml water
1 1/2 tsp instant yeast
1 egg

Ingredient for bread dough C:
40g Butter For glazing
1 egg (beaten)

For topping: Some black raisins & coarse sugar

Method:

1. Combine ingredient A in a mixer, mix well. Add in ingredient B and beat for 5 minuites or till a dough is formed. Add in ingredient C and beat till the dough is smooth and elastic to the touch.
2. Leave dough in a big bowl, covered with a damp cloth. Proof in a warm place for 30 minutes or until double in size.
3. Divide dough into two equal portions. Knead and round into ball shapes. Flatten and roll out each ball of dough. Place on a greased tray, spaced apart. Proof for about 45minutes or double in size. Glaze with egg wash and press in raisins in an assorted manner on the surface.
4. Sprinkle some coarse sugar on top. Bake in a preheated oven at 190deg C for 20minutes till golden. Cool well on a wire rack.

甜蜜蜜~

儿时喜欢吃的甜甜圈,现在成孩子喜欢吃的面包。 
吃在口中,甜在心里!






甜甜圈
材料:

(A)
400g
高筋面粉
100g 低筋面粉
10g 即溶酵母粉 


(B)
80g 细砂糖
10g 盐
20g 奶粉

(C)

50g 蛋
250g  冰水

(D)
100g 
牛油

做法:

1.将材料(A)混合均匀,加入(B)学和(C)以中速搅拌5分钟, 再加入(D)继续搅拌醵10-15分钟至面团具光滑状和富有弹性。  


2. 工作台撒上少许面粉,将面团滚圆,滚加入无盐奶油用慢速搅入,并盖上保鲜膜, 进基本发酵约30-40分钟或双倍大。

3. 用杆面棍将面团杆成11.5cm厚的面皮,松弛缓10分钟后,用甜甜圈模具将面皮压出圆圈型, 放在表面撒粉的平盘上, 静置疑30分钟左右做最后发酵, 直至体积变大, 变轻。

4.  锅中放入适量的油,烧热至大约160170度,再将发酵完成的甜甜圈放入炸至两面呈金黄色后,捞起, 滴干油即可。

一日之际在于晨

儿子曾经告诉我有些同学非常羡慕他每天都吃妈妈为他准备不同的早餐和点心。他回复说因为那是一份妈妈给于他的爱。 吃了妈妈的爱心就会开心上学去! 听了那翻话, 感到很窝心也足以给我冲刺。 不管有多累多忙都会准备我那满满的爱, 手作成餐点让孩子们在外也能感染到妈妈给于的关怀和爱。。。

一日之际在于晨。有美好的开始, 就会有美好的一天。。。







红豆面包


材料:
(A)200g 高筋面粉
20g 低筋面粉
25g 细砂糖
1/4tsp
3g 即溶酵母粉 (1/2tsp + 1/4tsp)
15g 奶粉
25g 蛋
115g

(B)
15g 无盐奶油
200g 红豆馅 ( 分成8等份)
 
(C)
表面装饰:
20g  白芝麻

            

做法:
  1. 材料A全部混合,先用慢速搅拌成团, 再用中速搅成具光滑状。
  2. 加入无盐奶油用慢速搅入, 再用中速搅成可拉出稍透明薄膜的面团。
  3. 面团放入容器里并盖上班保鲜膜, 进行基本发酵约60分钟。
  4. 面团分割分成8等份,滚圆后直接包入内馅, 盖上班保鲜膜松弛缓15分钟, 用手将面团轻轻压力成圆饼状。
  5. 在面团的边缘剪出81公分长的开口,放入烤盘盖上班保鲜膜,继续发酵约10分钟。
  6. 面团表面刷上均匀的蛋液,用杆面棍沾上白芝麻压在面团表面。
  7. 放入已预热的烤箱中,以上下火180度烘烤约15分钟。

迷!

迷上做面包有好一段日子了! 几乎到一天不玩面团会很不自在!
喜欢看着面团慢慢涨大, 玩造型, 烘出香味四溢的面包
更开心的是, 面包一下被一扫而空那感觉 ... 十分满足!
最近在QiQi ,  Jane  看到的这款面包,我又怎么能错过呢! 何况是我们最喜欢的牛油面包。
老大吃了三个,还赞好。可想而知有多香。非常喜欢牛油配粗糖的口味。
另外也准备一些加上chocolate chips 的,没到隔天就被吃完了!

幸福起飞!

八月,一个举国同庆的日子, 我...回来了!
好些来信向我问候的朋友们, 你们的关怀, 我深深感受到了!
感谢大家对本部落格的厚爱,喜欢我的作品。 久违了!也让大家久等了。

在这段期间, 就一个字形容, 忙! 但,不益乐呼。
孩子占据了我大部分的时间。虽然有一个帮手,但很多事情我都喜欢亲利亲为。
每天为他们准备的早餐,茶点是必做之事。每天的烘焙从没间断。 我也积极的学烹饪, 希望煮出有"妈妈味道" 即窝心的菜肴。 因此, 我也将和大家分享烘焙以外烹饪,手工艺等等的兴趣。尽请期待!
